This MOON CLOCK has an EXTRA POINTER reaching the centre ring in the middle of the clock face. It POINTS to the current PHASE (appearance) of the moon, around the edge of the clock face. It DISPLAYS when the TIDES are STRONGEST and WEAK.

The writing says briefly WHEN and WHERE to FIND the MOON in the sky. Then it is easy to estimate the times of moon rise and set, (when the average time between moon rise and set, is about 12 hours 25 minutes everyday).

It displays when the moon is WAXING (becoming fuller), and WANING (becoming less full).

It displays when the moon is more than half full (GIBBOUS), and when the moon is less than half full (CRESCENT).
